Charmaine Fhel Leonardo of IV- Einstein won first place last July 10 at Benigno Aquino High School where 4th ASEAN Division Quiz Bee was held. After 1 month of serious training with Mrs. Mira Alegre, Ms. Marissa Razon and Mr. Joseph Castanillo, Leonardo garnered 22 points from the said Quiz Bee.

“Sobrang kinakabahan ako noong mga panahong iyon. Feeling ko mas prepared sila kaysa saken. Saka ang hirap hirap pa ng mga tanong.” said the modest Leonardo.

During the awarding, Leonardo actually won second place until Mrs. Samonte, the Head of Social Studies in the Division of Makati, recognized that one of Leonardo’s answer was correct and garnered another 2 points, so that the announced winner from Pitogo with 20 points was beaten by Leonardo with 22 points.

“Syempre para kay God, sa family ko sa friends ko at sa MakSci itong pagkapanalo ko’ said Leonardo happily.
