In compliance with DECS Order No. 69,
s. 1993, the Makati Science High School moved from Mayapis
St., San Antonio Village to its new site, bounded by Osias,
Palma and Gabaldon Streets in Poblacion in January, 1997.
The whole school complex was finished sometime in December,
1997 in time for its inauguration.
It has four (4) 4-storey buildings with
thirty-six classrooms.It majestically stands on a two thousand
one hundred ninety-six square meter lot. Facilities have been made adequate to
help maximize learning in Science and Technology, English
and Mathematics, the subjects on focus. The Makati City-City School Board entered
into an agreement with the EduQuest, Inc. for the implementation
of the EduQuest curriculum – based technology integration
program,inclusive of the use of courseware, academic support
and technical services, and supply of computer hardware
and accessories. Again, this is making available the use
of audio visual softwares and hardwares.
Library resources include quality and
updated books which are made available to the students
from 7:00 in the morning to 6:00 in the evening.
The new Makati Science High School has its fully equipped
audio-visual room, two (2) General Science laboratories, one (1) Biology laboratory, 2 Physics laboratories, 1 Chemistry laboratory, two
(2) Computer laboratories, 1 Speech laboratory, Library
facilities with available textbooks, resource books, newspapers
and other reading materials, etc., and Knowledge Activity Center sponsored by EduQuest, one CAT-1 room, 1 Culinary Arts room, 2 Technology and Livelihood Educationm rooms, 1 Electronics laboratory, 1 Reading Center, 1 Environmental Education room, four (4) Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health rooms, 1 Conference room, 1 Practice House, 1 Faculty room, 1 Supreme Student Government office, 1 Press room, 1 Service Bureau, 1 OIC room, and 16 classrooms.
